Dear Family of Vada, I met Vada 14 years ago when I was her secret granddaughter with the young women's program. I was a leader at the time and I was pregnant with my first child. Over the years I claimed her as my own grandmother as I was so far from my own family. I lived in the neighborhood close by her home. I took each of my 5 children as they came along, over on a regular basis while we still lived there. We moved away from the area 6 years ago. We have kept in touch through Christmas cards over the years and a few phone calls. I love her dearly and am so thankful that she was a part of my life. We had many wonderful talks about life and I know that she was ready to go home and has been for quite some time. I am happy for her to finally be free from pain and be reunited with her loved ones that have gone before. Love from Grandma Vada's secret Granddaughter, Diane Stanley
