Obituary of Bobby Melton

Bobby Dean Melton Sr. peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Washougal. Born on April 5, 1932 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Henry and Millie Melton, Bobby was 77 years old. A 50 year Camas resident, Bobby worked as a Mushing Operator in the Sawmill Industry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling. Most of all, Bobby enjoyed spending time around his family and friends. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Eliza at home, daughters Sharon Arsvold of Winona, Minnesota, and Helen Townsend of Washougal, sons Roger Melton of Washougal, Wallace Melton of Mason City, Iowa, Bobby Melton Jr. of Washougal, and Terry Melton of Camas, twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son James R. Melton in 1971. There will be a celebration of Bobby's life on Friday, December 11th at 1:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Vault interment will be held at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
