Myrtle Marie Wegner passed away on February 27, 2010, at home in Vancouver, Washington. It was her 98th birthday. She was born February 27, 1912, in California and spent time as a child and an adult alternating between Vancouver, Washington, and Southern California.
During her life she held various jobs including owning a hair salon, illustrating shoes for May Company catalogs, and keeping books. Her hobbies were numerous and she was accomplished in each of them. She was a talented artist, leaving many oil paintings as a reminder of her life; an exceptional seamstress; and a gifted gardener. She also loved to knit and read.
She was preceded in death by husbands Colin Hooper and Leonard Wegner; sons Arthur Hooper and Norman Brousseau; great-grandson Dashric Long; and grandson-in-law, Bill Nelson. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Harriet Hooper; nine grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a private celebration of Myrtle's life.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
