Violet Elizabeth Hilsinger returned to her Lord on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver. Born on September 13, 1921 in Bedford, England to Ivy and Frederick Fletcher, Violet was 88 years old.
A three year resident of Washougal, Violet was formerly a 57 year resident of Spokane, Washington. She enjoyed knitting, dancing, traveling including visiting England 20 times, and spending time with her family.
Violet is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Raymond at home, sister Barbara Cox of Bedford, England, son-in-law John Donovan of Washougal, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Julia Donovan in 2010, son Paul Charles Hilsinger in 1992, and grandson Michael Remarenko in 2004.
There will be a Celebration of Violet's life on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
