Obituary of James Barker I I I

James Marshall Barker III returned to his Lord on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at his home in Washougal. Born on June 1, 1963 in Terre Haute, Indiana to James and Helen Barker, James was 46 years old. A Washougal resident for nineteen years, James worked as a shipping manager at Pella Windows and Doors in Gresham. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving as a Military Policeman and was a member of Living Hope Church in Vancouver. James enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Oakland Raiders fan, playing golf, camping, traveling, and visiting Hawaii. Most of all, James loved his family, friends, and his Lord. James is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Janette at home; son Tyler Helvie of Chico, California; parents James "Jim" and Helen Barker of Kalama; brothers Kevin Barker of Kelso, and Skot (Jessica) Barker of Vancouver; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Derek Barker on March 19, 2010. There will be a Celebration of James' life with full military honors on Saturday, June 5th at 11:00 am at Brown' s Funeral Home in Camas. A reception will follow at the Camas Friends Church. Memorials in James' memory may be sent to the Derek James Barker Memorial Fund at any Lacamas Community Credit Union Branch. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
