James Daniel Bogart peacefully passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 in Portland, Oregon. Born on October 18, 1956 in Salem, Oregon to Joseph and Dorothy Bogart, James was 53 years old.
A lifetime Portland resident, James worked as an Electrician in the Electrical Industry. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and member of the IBEW Local # 48 in Portland. He enjoyed sail boating, being on the water, air gliding, traveling internationally and venturing around the world. Most of all James is remembered for being kind hearted and loving his family.
James is survived by his son Justin Bogart of Oregon City, Oregon; daughter Sheri (Kevin) Cranford of Vancouver; Mother Dorothy Bogart of Vancouver; brothers Michael Bogart of Camas, and Kevin Foster of Portland; sisters Dody Summers of Gresham, and Karen Milliron of Seaside; special companion of 31 years and mother to his children Susan Diane Day of Washougal; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Bogart and sister Marion McBee.
There will be a celebration of James' life at a later date. Inurnment with full Military Honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
