Obituary of Erna Jensen

Erna A. Jensen returned to her Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at her home in Camas. Born on October 28, 1940 in Vernheim, Germany to Heinrich and Margareta Strauss, Erna was 69 years old. After being born and raised in Germany, Erna came to the United States in 1958. She went to work for Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in Camas and worked there for 33 years before retiring from Ft. James Paper Mill in Camas. She was a member of the Camas Assembly of God Church and enjoyed traveling, spending time at the beach, and spending the winters in Arizona. Erna is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years Ken Jensen at home; children Henry (Judy) Jensen, Teresa (Les Chick) Waymen, Andy (Dodi) Jensen, Mike (Pam) Jensen all of Washougal, and Jimmy (Echo) Jensen of Camas; brother Hans (Anna) Strauss of Germany; 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two nieces, and one nephew. There will be a celebration of Erna's life on Saturday, August 21st at 11:00 am at the Camas Assembly of God Church: 500 SE Everett Rd.; Camas, WA 98607. Vault interment will follow at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas. Viewing will be held on Friday, August 20th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
