Obituary of Ethel Bowman

Ethel Rose (Tobin) Bowman peacefully returned to her Lord with her family at her side on Monday, December 13, 2010 in Vancouver, Washington. Born on November 8, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to John and Elizabeth (Nagy) Mlinarchik; Ethel was 85 years old.
A sixteen year Vancouver resident Ethel was formerly of the Seattle-Bellevue Area. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vancouver, and the Scandinavian Dance Club. She worked as a bookkeeper in the wholesale grocery industry and enjoyed gardening, painting, and baking. Most of all Ethel enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Ethel is survived by her children Theresa "Terry" (Gordon) Deeds of Washougal, Michael (Sherry) Tobin of Snohomish, WA, Elizabeth (Wes) Longino of Renton, WA, and John Tobin of Kent, WA; grandchildren Nick, Matt, Andy, Emily, and great-granddaughter Addison. She was preceded in death by her brothers John Mark and Lloyd Mlinarchik.
The Bowman family would like to send a special thank you to all of the kind caregivers who tended to Ethel over the years. The Bowman family would especially like to thank Badia and her team from Stonebridge, The Waterford, Blue Pine AFH and Florica Nedelcu, and June and the staff at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
There will be a Funeral Mass for Ethel on Friday, December 17th at 11:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church: 400 South Andresen Rd.; Vancouver, WA 98661. A Rosary will be held prior to the Funeral Mass at 10:45 am. Memorials in Ethel's honor may be sent to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Layton Aging Alzheimer's Disease Center at OHSU: 3303 SW Bond Avenue; Portland, Oregon 97239. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
