Charles Edward "Chuck" Powell passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at his home in Vancouver. Born on October 31, 1960 in Vancouver, Washington to Harold and Ellie (Kauffman) Powell; Chuck was 50 years old.
A lifetime Vancouver resident, Chuck worked as a plumber in the plumbing industry. He was a graduate of Washougal High School in 1979, and then served two years in the United States Army. Chuck enjoyed mushrooming, hiking, gourmet cooking, mountain climbing, BBQ, fishing, and had a love for animals and the outdoors. Chuck was a true outdoorsman who lived life to the very fullest. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Chuck is survived by his loving parents Ellie Malone of Brush Prairie, father Harold Powell of Vancouver, sister Angel Biederbeck of Camas, uncle William J. Casey of Brush Prairie, nephew Reece Bonenfant of Camas, and cousins Donald Jenkins, Bruce Jenkins, and Mikki Schuller all of Vancouver.
There will be a private family celebration of Chuck's life. Memorial in Chuck's honor may be sent to the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society in Washougal. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
