Obituary of Donald Mueller

Donald H. Mueller, 73, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2006. He was a loving husband, father, Papaw, friend and a faithful man of God. Don was born on January 10, 1933 in Camas, WA son of Johnny H. Mueller and Frances Taylor Mueller. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Martha Monroe Mueller, his children and their spouses: Valerie and Marvin Thrall of Littleton, CO, Johnny and Sue Mueller of Vancouver, WA, Russell Mueller of Camas, WA, David and Julie Mueller of Camas, WA and Marcie Mueller of Washougal, WA; his sisters: Jane Rasmor of Vancouver, WA and Linda and Johnny Lively of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and six grandchildren who called him Papaw: Mason and Courtney Thrall, Alysha and Austin Mueller, J.J. and Nick Mueller. Don proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Tennessee Tech and began teaching High School in Tennessee. Don and Martha moved to live in Camas, WA in 1962 where he taught Jr. High and later began working for Crown Zellerbach. He retired from James River in 1995. Don was an active member of Lacamas Heights Baptist Church for the past 37 years where he served as a Deacon, song leader and Sunday school teacher. Music was an important part of Don's whole life. He loved singing, playing his guitar, working in his garden and woodshed, metal detecting and traveling across the country to visit loved ones in Tennessee. Services were held at Lacamas Heights Baptist Church Tuesday, June 13, 2006. Donations may be made in Don's name to the church. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
