James "Jim" Lee Taylor passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in Washougal. Born on June 17, 1946 in Waterloo, New York, James was 60 years old.
Jim worked as a chemical engineer for 30 years working for Georgia Pacific, Cyanimid, Nalco, and Buckman Labs in the Paper Industry. He was a member of the Jones Creek Trailriders Association from 1988-1991. Jim was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and boating, skiing, backpacking, dirt biking, crabbing, and gardening. Most of all, Jim loved his family.
Jim is survived by his wife of 29 years Jean at home, brother George Taylor of Tigard, sister Nancy Wright of Florida, daughters Bethany (Joel) Velasco of Washington DC, Erin (Jason) Couture of Vancouver, and Coreen Taylor of Portland, step-mother Maria Taylor of Minnesota, step-sisters Diane McCarty, Carol Ann Hart, all of Minnesota, and Susan Luck of Florida, and grandchildren Lucas Velasco, and Nikolas and Mackenzie Couture. He was preceded in death by brothers Bob and Jack Taylor of Florida, mother Alice Green and father Arnon Taylor.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Jim on Tuesday, January 16th at 1:00 pm at Brush Prairie Baptist Church. Viewing will be on Monday from 10-5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Memorials in Jim's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
