I met Bob, back in 1988, after talking to him from Anchorage, Alaska. We were moving to our next base (Air Force) and needed a minivan. Bob told me he sold cars for only $200 over wholesale to military members. When our family met him at the dealership (we're Oregonians) he gave each of our kids a silver dollar, then asked if we wanted to go get lunch while the car was being prepared. He gave us money for lunch then reached into his pocket and gave me the keys to the nicest Chrysler I'd ever seen. He was a wonderful person who helped our family while we served our Nation. I found this obituary and wanted the family to know. God bless.
