Obituary of Stuart Jay Farnsworth

Stuart Jay Farnsworth passed away quietly surrounded by his family and their love on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 67. He has now gone home to be with his Lord. He was a resident of Gearhart, Oregon the past 3 years. Stuart was born to Jay and Vera (Hersey) Farnsworth on September 30, 1952 in Portland, Oregon. He worked in the Medical Industry for Cardinal Health Care in Wilsonville, Oregon. He attended the New Harvest Church in Salem, Oregon and the North Coast Family Fellowship Church in Seaside, Oregon. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending lots of time with his family. He was a huge fan of hockey and he loved and enjoyed outdoors sports, hiking, walking, biking with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed beach combing and was an author of two Glass Float books. Stuart is survived by his wife, Laurel of 45 years; son, Jair (Angela) Farnsworth of Camas, Washington; daughter, Hilary (Shawn) Parker of Camas, Washington; brothers, Jeff Farnsworth of Portland, Oregon, Scott Farnsworth of Portland, Oregon, 5 grandchildren, Chloe Farnsworth, Braden Farnsworth, Cole Parker, Brody Parker and Chase Parker. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life date will be scheduled after the first of the year. For those who wish to honor Stuart's memory, donations may be made to the New Harvest Church in Salem, Oregon or to North Coast Family Fellowship Church in Seaside, Oregon.
