Orval Eugene McClung of Washougal, WA passed away on Apr. 21, 2014. He was 89.
Orval was born on Dec. 3, 1924 to his parents William and Lura McClung in Omaha, Neb. He was a former resident of Roseburg and Dillard, OR. He was a Pastor and member of Calvary Community Church of Camas, a Veteran of the US Navy during WWII. He did some missionary work in Haiti and Mexico. He enjoyed preaching, and was a great mechanic from lawn mowers to ships. He also was the head of transportation for Cook County Schools.
He is survived by his wife Irene McClung; daughters: Bonnie (Neil) Hansen, and Nancy (Elton) Gable; sons: William "Bill" (Shirley) McClung, Gary (Gloria) McClung, and David McClung; brother, Charlie McClung; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing scheduled for Sunday, Apr. 27, from 12-5PM at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas, WA. There will be a graveside service on Monday, Apr. 28, at 9AM at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on May 2, at 10AM at Calvary Community Church in Camas, WA. Brown's Funeral Home & Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
