Grandpa was one in a million, he always had a story to tell. Grandpa has been through alot, and had come a long way. He loved fishing, and hunting. Grandpa had the best son ever. I hope when I have kids I have kids as faithful as Ernie was for him the hole time. Ernie is to a very strong person, he must get that from his dad. Father like son all the way. Grandpa will always be missed. Love you always and forever!!!

Having grown up a couple of doors down from the Stilles I have a lot of fond memories of Walt. It is rare to meet a man so kind and good. My thoughts and best wishes are with the family now because I know that Walt is in a better place. Love, Patti

Walt will be greatly missed! He was like a second father to me as he was always there with a smile and a helping hand. There is an empty void in my life now, but know that he is in a better place. May God Bless You, Walt!

I remember your Dad as very nice man as I was growing up. He took me with the family on a few trips to the beach. I remember them as very good times clamming and fishing and he was very good at it. Sorry to read of his passing I will never forget him or some the things he showed me how to do. Wishing all the family the best, Now and in the future.

Once upon a nice sunny Day Grandpa Walt took me fishing up at Trout Lake in Trout Lake, WA. We took a very large raft with a metal frame that sat on top for rigidity and rowing. Grandpa rowed us around the lake and we ventured out where the little white salmon river flowed in and out of the lake. By this time we were losing air in the raft and got caught in the current of the river, and we could not over come it. We were swept down stream a ways and had to get to shore and carry the raft back up to the lake where there was no current, and we got back in the raft. Grandpa rowed us a little ways through the water which had a lot of grass growing up so thick in it that we could hardly row. Then Grandpa made the mistake of standing up in the raft which was very deflated and he fell overboard backwards into the very cold mountain run off water. He came up with his false teeth all crooked in his mouth and clattering from his shivers. I will never forget this memorable moment as well as numerous other memories with my Grandpa Walt Stille. A kid couldn't ask for a better Grandpa than My Grandpa Walt. He took the time to teach me so many things. He also took me fishing hundreds of times. He helped my dad build his dream shop and home. I will miss you Grandpa, but we'll meet up again in heaven. Love Ya Buddy!

Dear Uncle Walt, I'm writing this telepathic message just to say my unscheduled visit with you (and Ernie) several years ago--even though brief--holds cherished memories. It is my deepest regret, that I was unable to visit you again. I have a great picture of you and I, in my office. It makes me often chuckle with amusement; as it brings back a moment in time where you told me that you had wanted to marry my mom in your early years. Instead my dad (Lester)swept her away. What a shockingly humorous statement to my ears though. When I told this to mother she too took great delight! Post-humorously note... In reflecting back over the past 5 months, at the lost of mom in Feb 2010 at 82, and you at 82. Mmmm, could there be some sort of correlation, and is there something still going on telepathically?;). Affectionately, your niece.

It is a sad day, the day of your passing. It is a good day, the day you left this earthly body. It is a great day, the day you joined God in heaven. Now you are with all those that left before you, it is a jubilant day! Be at peace Dad. I love you.
