Obituary of Willard Fletcher

Willard H. Fletcher passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at his home in Portland, Oregon. Born on January 14, 1927 in Chismville, Arkansas to Oscar and Delia Fletcher, Willard was 83 years old. A Camas/Portland resident since 1935, Willard was a Veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and also served as a Merchant Marine. Following the war he received a Master's Degree and worked as a District Superintendent in the Portland Schools System. Outside of work Willard enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker, and traveling. Most of all, Willard enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Willard is survived by his loving daughter Jodie Westover of Portland, brother Winn (Joanne) Fletcher of Camas, special friend Inga Pearsall of Portland, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38.5 years Donna in 1988, and his brother Lee Fletcher. There will be a Graveside Service for Willard on Wednesday, July 21st at 1:00 pm at the Camas Cemetery. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
