Obituary of John Bega

John Thomas Bega passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at his home in Camas at the age of 62 years old. John was preceded in death by his parents Nick and Margaret (Knapp) Bega, and his aunt Eileen Ryan. John was born on November 14, 1948 in Reno, Nevada. He is survived by his twin brother Frank Bega of Rathdrum, Idaho, a nephew, and his cousin Deborah Patton and family. A lifetime Camas resident, John attended and graduated from Camas High School in 1968. John was last employed at the Lakeside Chalet in Camas. He spent many years working for The Turf and Bilby's (Anna Lu's) of "Old Camas!" John will be missed by those who knew him and his quiet presence. John was always willing and eager to try and help others and do his best at what he could which also included playing pool and traveling. There will be no public services at John's request. Private inurnment will be held at the Camas Cemetery in Camas. In memory of John please make donations to the Humane Society of Washougal or Doernbechers Children's Hospital of Portland, Oregon. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
